One of the many excellent service projects that Rotarians have adopted is “Rotarians at Work” On the last Saturday of April Rotarians can be seen doing a community project, in honor of their motto, “Service above Self.” On Saturday April 25, Nelson Daybreak Rotary club is partnering with Trafalgar School and Earth Matters, in corporation with Earth Day to beautify our City and surrounding areas. The community is invited to meet in the parking lot of Savoy Bowling alley at nine am for instructions and supplies.
The day will consist of completing the following tasks: Garbage pick up at the Nelson Interchanged, Clean up along the Dog path and Lakeside path, Gazebo clean up at the Prestige Resort. In addition, teams will be sent out to clean up the downtown as well, which will include Graffiti removal.
Nelson Daybreak Rotary Club is spearheading the project providing assistance, supervision, and materials in cooperation with the City of Nelson. Interested parties that welcome and desire a beautified City are invited to join us on Earth Day April 25 as “Rotarian are at Work.” For information or confirmation of attending, please email grafitti@nelsonrotary.info or call Roger Higgins at 250 352 7777.
